    Clement to Sunderland

The latest gossip is he will be going to Sunderland?

Can anyone ITK throw any light on the latest with regard to our new Manager? Chris, SDSR, Top Bloke etc??

I hope to God it is not Dyche. He is a Forest fan!!

According to oddschecker he's 3/1 for Sunderland, with Big Sam a close favourite at 5/2. Clement still 1/8 for ours. Interestingly Gary Rowett is in at 10/1 clear 2nd favourite.

Not sure how I feel about the Rowett one tbh! Seems a good young manager but maybe a bit too inexperienced for my liking!

Paul clement is still favourite to take charge and we should hear something soon. His Madrid contract is up in a few days.

I've read in two papers this morning that moyes is in talks with Sunderland

We could always go for Ancelotti instead if his underling blows us out.

Sunderland job, like Newcastle, is a poisoned chalice where fans have unrealistically high expectations in a short space of time. This on the basis that they are big clubs who have won stuff before the war...ie over 75 years ago.

Either would be terrible choicec for someone in their first managerial role.

The longer it goes on I think the less chance we have of getting Clement. I know it is being said he still has a little time to go with his contract at RM but surely they wouldn't hold him to that if he definately said he wanted to go to Derby. I would have thought as Sam got rid of Mac so quickly he was hoping for Clement to be in place by now.

I have a gut feeling Clement is going to be Sunderland bound especially as he is best mates with Congerton.

Glass half empty day today, but it is a possibility.

He has gone from 1/20 a couple of days ago to 1/5, so the bookies are not as confident now that he is coming to Derby

I know. It's not good for an old git.

Nixon says it's a done deal but that does not say much.
