Not quite correct, Chris's comment about all mods agreeing was wrongly worded. If there is an issue that a mod wants an opinion on then it's not unusual for them to email the others to get an opinion. But normally cards are issued by the mod there and then, then an email is sent to the others to explain.

We don't always agree, Rattea disagreed with me over closing Tricky1972's two threads yesterday, I recall disagreeing with his decision to issue a card to someone last month. Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree, especially as it may be a day or two afterwards in some cases. Chris had a different thought on how to handle a poster who had posted under a couple of duplicate and misleading accounts, I have had some disagreements in

Vicky has never been banned! She got nasty because castus got banned.

LatinRam was threatening violence on an Internet forum twice. Any poster regardless of who they are will get an instant red for threatening violence. There have been quite a few carded for threatening other posters.

Bloomer removed afghan for using the board for none board and off board matters.

If a card is issued then a mail is sent between editor and mods. If the majority don't agree it's recinded. If not it remains. The only card recinded was for a direct breaking of the swear filter circumvention and after discussion changed and a warning given.

Let me point out a nber of posters have pointed out they dare not post anything that a group of members on the board don't agree with as they get bullied off. SteveJay is an example of this amongst others. I have received a lot of abuse others would not have to put up with as we would take action to stop it. I have taken a lot of abuse for stating the perceived

I must have missed the Latin being banned. I just thought he'd stopped posting.

You sure these people aren't actually under your patio Rats?

Oh yes but wasn't me that banned him. Threats of violence and multiple accounts. Reappeared about a year ago and started again. Pity as I missed him whilst in his neck of the woods a couple of times

Patio wouldn't be big enough for all of them so I've made alternative arrangements

Having checked back LatinRam was banned for OTT abuse to Chilli and Ramondo amongst others. Then back as seantheram and boyfrombrazil went for threats of violence.

Always strangely satisfying to debunk the myth - view external link

I would have to open up old threads, which I'm not sad enough to do and which Ramondo says I can't do anyway, to show that it was Rattea who got nasty and ran a bullying campaign. He also had a long running feud with Afghan Ram, which apparently spilled over into the "real world". As I said other combatants have mysteriously disappeared as well. It wasn't that long ago when I couldn't login to the site after encouraging people to ignore Rattea. He claimed I was Afghan and hey presto, but I set-up several accounts to complain about my removal.

You seem to know a lot about the history of this board for someone that registered 3 years after it all happened and ended.

Thats not to say he hasn't been reading the board for a while. Many do, some never register but view whats on here.

I agree with the tediousness of continuous spats, one gets caught up in it sometimes, then I remember the words of that infernal song

Let it go! Let it go! Let it go!

personally the best way to deal with posters who IMO spout garbage or wish to reduce the debate to juvenile babble is to ignore their posts, something I'm trying to do, though sometimes like shooting fish in a barrel its just too easy to shoot them down in flames!

Lets remember it is only an internet forum full of sound and fury signifying nothing!
