Kick towards the South Stand in the 2nd half?

I've just been reading through my twitter feed this morning and I've noticed that there are a growing number off supporters wanting Derby to kick towards the South Stand in the 2nd half of our matches.

I'd have to say I see more positives in this debate than negatives and I therefore support the change.

What are your thoughts?

I guess now the South stand is home supporters it might make sense, but does it really have any bearing on how well we do in a game?

I prefer it as it is. Partly for selfish reasons, as I sit the other end ()

Actually, it's only for that reason. Other than that it makes sense. But my interests should be put ahead of everybody elses, obviously.

Thats assuming I still go next season. I'm still waiting to see what happens with QPR!!!

It may do Swales. Think back to the Birmingham game and the corner that brought the equaliser - would it have been slightly harder from a psychological perspective for Brum if they were taking that corner surrounded entirely by home fans, rather than being cheered on by their own contingent?

It's traditional to head towards the North Stand in the second half - it's our Normanton End in the iPro!
Look at the statistics and we always do better when we kick off towards the North Stand in the second half. We have scored proportionally more goals that end to if I remember correctly - just like the Normanton End! If it ain't broke don't fix it - there is a psychology to it.

I'm with Ramondo on this. Purely selfish reasons,no change for me as I sit in the East stand closer to the north stand. Great view of second half goals when we're pushing for a result.
Also when we kick to the south stand,are we not kicking towards the away fans in the SE corner too? They have to go somewhere unfortunately unless we could find another area to put them.
I've always thought the SW upper would be good. Up & out the way. I sat there for a game once. Not great IMO.

We hardly ever shoot towards the SS in the second half, so not sure that the stats would show anything else.

Change it round.. SS is a must.. Most in the NS are sucking sweets or have gone for their third wee by the time we need them.

I'm not a big beleiver in all this clap trap.

Kicking to one goal or the other shouldn't really have any bearing on how well we play - it's down to the players.

Not bothered either way if I'm honest although I am hoping for Safe Standing Rail Seats in the South Stand one day.

Given that the away supporters are at the side of the south end, then on that basis e should continue to play the way we do?

I don't know. But the point I was making was that in the Brum game (just as an example), the Brum players had their own fans up towards the stand they were playing towards in the second half. I know they are in the corner, rather than beh
