    McClaren in for Hughes

Steve to test Derby County's resolve with a 15 million bid for William. The temptation of 30k + per week could be to great. And if a player wants to go, he goes.

Looks like some more lazy journalism. I am sure SM hates derby but I can't see Newcastle's owner letting him take revenge by depleting Derby of players.

If they offer 15M I would take it

But think Hughes will only go to Liverpool anyway

About as predictable a piece of gossip as the 'Rams Raided' headline that will surely follow.

Well if Steve is in for Will Hughes and offers £15m like you said for him then we will be stupid not to accept the offer for him, because with that kind of money we can get a lot of replacements in and push ourselves for a great promotion push.

Seeing as McClaren is head coach and Carr does the recruiting then hradly likely to happen - Newcastle will not be buying expensive youngsters.
