As for clements contacts what contacts has he realistically got?

Think it through a bit at Chelsea, Psg, and Real his main contact is ancelote. But at each the management has been moved on and replaced with people he probably doesn't know. So unless Ancelote gets a job at a decent club his contacts are realistically limited!

Where has he said hes going tongue contacts anyway swale?

    Agents.

Agents dont work at clubs. He's been a coach nit involved in player dealing as far as anyone's aware. So just thinking logically and not looking at employerss it doesn't seem to suggest he will be that we'll connected outside the single manager he's followed about.

It's those social butterfly's that mix it tend to be better connected.

I think his ties could well be with the chairmen or presidents of these clubs. I'm more interested in his coaching expertise than his transfer nouse

We had on paper last season in most areas a team more than capable of winning promotion and the players we are in for now were a success last season so no real worries there. Clearly the back 5 incl keeper grant were the teams weakness last season. At one point we could have made a bloopers DVD on our own but that looks to be getting addressed now

There was clearly something not right psychologically or in coaching and match preperation etc but it's time to move on

Exciting times ahead to be a rams fan and we are not too far away from having that completed jigsaw

"I keep in contact with some of the players I worked with at Chelsea - John Terry in particular, I'm in touch with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Beckham from the PSG time."

"John and David both sent me congratulatory messages".

Imagine all the agents, coaches from European games/courses and players he is in touch with. And if not, imagine where his contacts could get him.

Suppose Nigel and the newsagent had better, though.

Lets not forget that (to quote another poster) Paul Clement only put the cones out!!...

Seriously though just because he hasn't bought in anyone from a previous club in the first week or so doesn't mean he hasn't got any contacts in the game.

Of course he knows players he will have spent hour upon hour with them, day after day etc and i'm sure at some point will be calling in favors.

Also looking at players from clubs other than Chelsea, Madrid and PSG is permitted too.

He was quoted in the interview that he gave just after taking over. As for his contacts, well I'd expect him to have formed realtionships with other people in football and not just his immediate boss, he has aid he was on the same coaching course as Brendan Rodgers and they still talk for example.
