Academies- New Development.

Since recent England performances, both senior level and the under 21's, the FA have decided we are not starting the coaching process earlier enough and they have asked Dario Gradi MBE to be the new supremo of the under 5's with the primary object of getting them before they start teething. The considered opinion is you can't start them early enough and maybe even two year old's will show natural ability far beyond their natural expectations. Dario will do a trial pre season with a group from Crewe because there seems to be an unseemly proportion of parents advanced booking of their babies at the world famous academy.

The FA will contribute to the costs knowing that Crewe have no problems spending any spare cash that doesn't get loaned out to Directors on a new plastic pitch at the heath with underground heating and a sauna. Dario has actually offered his back garden with two floodlights for evening matches when parents could come to collect them from his daytime creche,. In fact
