Considering we can only pay 10000 a week due to the constraints of our transfer embargo it may be very good business that we've just got rid of Jamie Mackie who was on 25000. It will be leaner and meaner for us next season and who meaner than Jamie Ward in the past.

Not a huge risk, squad player, so isn't expected to play as a starter for more than 10-15 games when we rotate.

Plus his wage is way lower than anyone we've signed for years!

This is a 'Tyson' type signing, the one game you can guarantee a Jaime Ward performance was against Forest, it's no surprise that they want him because he always has a stormer against them, trouble is he cannot play the full 90 minutes consistently throughout the season. You will see him getting 60 minutes and if he's overworked on the pitch he will be overworking your physios

I hope when we play Florest he is on his usual mid season ham string break or else he is bound to have a blinde and score against us.

We have a very nice man who pays our bills for us. Unfortunately this very nice man lives a long way away and is a little forgetful. Still he tries his best and everybody gets paid eventually. It's a pity that our very nice man so far cannot choose a decent manager and could do with another very nice man to help him out.

I've got a lot of time for Jamie Ward. I said previously that at times during the Clough years there were times where he was the only player worth watching. He always put a shift in and was always up for the Forest games.
A four year contract is massive for him and with his injury record (and recovery time likely to increase as time goes by) it's likely that he will be increasingly used sparingly in cameo performances. In some ways it's a bit like what happened to Michael Owen, once he hit 30 he was rarely fit.
I hope he does well, especially against other rivals, and I wouldn't have minded keeping him but I get the sense that Weimann is his replacement. His style of play is a similar all action style, except he is younger and realistically an upgraded model.
Either way I will clap Jamie when he returns and will never forget what he did for us during the 'stability years'.

Hopefully Weimann can take a decent free kick and corner

At £250K he was a snip, but I'm not sad to see him go,
