Thread: Improved bid for Derbyshire...

    Improved bid for Derbyshire...

Wigan have increased their bid to £1.5 million pounds.

(In my opinion he isn't worth even a third of that) for a striker who scored 9 in 34.

If true snatch their hand off - provided the money is reinvested in the squad.

1.5 million, is that all? I would hang on for at least 3 million.

That kind of bid will test us, presuming its true.

Wouldn't want to see him go personally, even for that figure.

We'd have the funds to buy a replacement but couldn't pay the wages.

A 1.5 million pound player is going to be on twelve grand a week I would imagine.

he's got a year left on his contract and as we saw last season he's a confidence player so if the amount is true I would take the money.

Was my first impression too MML, but this is Wigan Athletic who once paid big bucks for Connor Sammon

I get that...but what have they improved from to get to £1.5m?

Surely, at about £500k we'd have been pissing ourselves all the way to the bank?

It sounds like it's either completely made up to me with those sorts of figures (even if they are interested).

1.5 million is peanuts these days for a striker who has now settled. Is far better than people give him credit for and if given the chance and fully fit could easily get near the 20 goal mark this season, try and replace that for 1.5 million

I wouldnt let Derbs go for that he is far better than some people give him credit for

And YES Powertoola he is worth more than 1.5 mil put it this way if he hadn't scored them 9 we would have been relegated
