No get rid afraid he flatters to deceive As someone has already said he looks good when we are playing well Plenty of people saying effort is not enough when it relates to Keogh while I think Russell is the same his decision making is average at best Theres no way we will get £1 million for him though especially from Cardiff

I'd never sell him for a mill. He'll do great for us this season I think. 2.5 minimum

strongly disagree mate. there's two reasons why we haven't seen the best of him:

    1. every time he gets into good form he gets an unfortunately injury like a fractured face or broken leg! he was in sintilating form early in the season then he got injured.

    2. ever since ince arrived he hasn't really been given a chance at RWF. he's much better cutting in on his left foot and nowhere near as effective on the other side.

a few saying he's only good when we're playing well...think about that, he's usually in the team when we're playing well. coincidence? I don't think so. as good as ince is, we were a better te

Great attitude and application and a very decent player I agree, but 'excellent' Ella...really?

Not a great goal scoring record and, as Rapid says in his defence, lost his way a bit once Ince arrived on the right last season. But Ince is here to stay now and will certainly be first choice at the start of the season so, is there a definite role for Johnny especially seeing as there are going to have to be some 'outgoings'?Also given that this will be his third season, how long are we going to have to wait to see the best of him?

What is it that we excpect from JR? 20 goals a season? an assist everytime he gets the ball? He's playing in the Championship for Derby County, not Barcelona!!! If he played like some people seem to want him to play we'd be discussing a £30m bid from Chelsea or someone. Johnny Russell is a good player at this level, he gives the side balance, tracks back, works hard, doesn't hide, can pass and link play and will weigh in with a few goals and assists. In my opinion, I think we will need the type of player JR is and I hope we keep him. I understand players are going to leave, but I think I'd rather keep Johnny Russell.

But that's really the point 2.4. Yes 'he's playing in the Championship for Derby County, not Barcelona', but even at our level he's managed just fifteen goals in two seasons and didn't offer a lot after Christmas last season. Scored a gorgeous goal against Forest which we all remember fondly from 'the thrashing', but ha

Rapid I don't dislike Russell hes a decent player no more than that Yes hes had injury problems but we have to move players out or we will end up with about 40 the way were are signing them Russell like Wardy aint going to get us promoted Admitted hes wholehearted but watch him closely his decision making aint good his passing is poor As for his fee have you seen what Championship players are going for I cant see Cardiff paying £1million no way

No worries 2.4, quite agree...'all about opinions'.

Amazing the extent to which individual players can divide opinion even amongst their own supporters. When you talk about one of our 'biggerd players' moving on though, I'd hate it to be Martin or Hughes, unless it's for irresistible
    money.
