I do not wish to sound smug, but I did say this last season.

We cleared the decks and under Clough rebuilt, but the downside was the decline in crowds. SR bought in Mac and we had a pretty much instant upturn and almost gained promotion. Last year we collapsed, and I am still adamant it was done purposefully to gain promotion this season and get the 100m tv deal as opposed to going up last season and more than likely coming straight back down with "only" 65m.

So Dahbi didn't actually CHOKE for the second season in succession after all then Dense ne?

You've got to laugh at the sheep havnt you.first it was "it's better to finish mid table than make the playoffs and fail" then it was "you can't buy your way out of this league" all aimed at us.now the shoe is on the other foot it's all ok to bottle the playoffs and bottle getting in them when you was top of the league with two months to go.and to make you laugh more they have started spending loads of cash on players and wages and you can now buy your way out the league.bless them,I just hope it doesn't backfire on them.

Exactly the point I was making Pol.
People in glass houses/hypocrites/double standards spring to mind.
This time last year, they was crowing that the bookies had them down as hot favorites to go up.
Looked to be true, until one of the biggest bottle it jobs in history came about.

Going back you said yes you were in an embargo but it wouldn't be for ever, in fact valet boy was adamant that ffp was unenforceable so why do you think our period of austerity coming to an end is so bad, it would of been much worse if we'd of ignored it and carried on regardless which is something you did and now your paying the price while we are reaping the rewards, our austerity was never going to be forever was it! How that's changing our tune I don't know, one could argue you've changed yours, after all wasn't it you lot that said you wouldn't be playing us again once you went up, wasn't it you lot that said you were considerably richer than us, wasn't it you lot that said you would be playing premier league football the next year, didn't you even say champions league within 5 years? So who has changed their tune now?
