SOOR GRAPES FROM THE ANNAN MANAGER

His after match interview tinged with a helping of soor grapes. He complained about the extra minutes by the referee, the bookings and red cards and whether Queens winner crossed the line.

In my opinion apart from the extra time he can have little complaint - 5 yellows and two reds is unacceptable and as shown in the following image the ball crossed the line for the tanman's winner..

in all fairness, and look closely at the pic but the "whole" of that ball does not look over the line. There appears to be a little overhang on the line and it is not a goal. Better still, the linesman called it over and from where we see him he is definitely in the wrong place to call it "wholly" over. The post obscures his view. If he was standing in front of the word Milnfield on the Kerr Investments advertising sign then he would be able to call the judgement from a better angle.
Hey ho, you win a few, and lose a few ( usually to New Rangers, Newco, Sevco, whatever they are called these days)!!

Hard to say for sure from that pic but looks just over to me. What direction was the ball going when the pic was taken. Could have been further over than the pic suggests.

The Assistant Ref may have been better placed when he signalled the goal and may have started to run back to the halfway line when this pic was taken. The records will show it was a goal. Can't quite understand why Chapman, and a few fans of both sides, reckon Annan were robbed. Admittedly the game finished much closer than was comfortable but on scoring chances alone I thought Queens had the upper hand. We hit woodwork twice (at least) and the Annan keeper brought off several great saves. I'm sure Mr. Chapman's side has scored a few goals in added time in other games but that will of course be forgotten. Also the two sending-offs were entirely justified. Soor grapes right enough.

Also the keeper could have rolled the ball back by the time that photo was taken as all keepers instinctively do.

Indeed. The pic could have been taken at any point so not much use by way of evidence.
