My dad's always loved football but never had a team. My folks (my mum's from wakey) moved to Burnley a couple of years before I was born. As a kid, once he saw I loved my footy, he took me all over to watch matches...except Burnley. When I realised that we had a club on our doorstep I asked him why we never went to watch them. He replied that I'd get nothing but pain supporting Burnley To be fair he wasn't far off for many years but I didn't care and as soon as I went to Turf Moor I was hooked.

I must have worn my parents down over the years as they both ended up being season ticket holders
