To be honest the job would require somebody to spend full time hours (at least) doing a job in which they have little or no chance achieving anything. If it was a job which would last 3 or 4 years and the person was going to have a chance of being listened to I might even have considered it. But no chance for a year, and while those 2 are still there, the winner is going to be Nixon and Jenkins little puppet, so they can say "look how much we care about what the fans think".

    NO PIGLET NEITHER DO I

BEST THING TO HAPPEN WOULD BE ONE OF THEM TO GET ELECTED AND THEN TELL NIXON AND JENKINS WHERE TO STUFF THEIR CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT WHERE THE SUN DOESNT SHINE AND SEE HOW THE TERRIBLE TWINS WOULD DEAL WITH THAT.

SHOULD ATTRACT A FAIR BIT OF NATIONAL PUBLICITY I WOULD OF THOUGHT

I reckon this election malarkey has fairly blatantly taken everyone's attention away from the pertinent issues of the summer.

By standing and even by voting, you give a vote of confidence to the current regime.

I won't be voting. I don't know enough about any of them, or their likely stances, to want to. I think that the poll could be no more than a popularity contest anyway. I can't see many of the supporter-base voting, and it will be interesting to see if the Club publish the poll results. Or will they too be part of a confidentiality agreement?

I won't vote either Griff. I don't actually like it at all, I happen to think it is designed specifically to take the heat from the owners. I find it problematic that it is for a year only (9 months really in the first instance) and the unseemly false niceness of the candidates on the other board is winding me up.

This role could have been really important if it had been thought through, a 3 year period would have been useful and real teeth would be good. What it actually going to be is a human shield behind which Nixon and Jenkins will want to hide their considerable bulk. We are quite likely to see the winning candidate in the paper with Nixon patting them on the head from time to time, but likely just about nowt else.

WELL LOOKS LIKE NIXON AND JENKINS HAVE WELL STITCHED UP THE SHORTLIST

    NOT MUCH OF A CHOICE

A SOLICITOR HES HARDLY LIKELY TO GET INVOLVED IN ANYTHING CONTROVERSIAL LIKE TURNING NIXON UPSIDE DOWN AND GIVING HIM A GOOD SHAKE IS HE ?

SOMEONE WHOS TAKEN EARLY RETIREMENT FROM A 100K A YEAR JOB AT THE BEEB WITH GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH OF A TAXPAYER PAYOUT. I NOTICE HES PLAYING IT CLOSE TO HIS CHEST BUT WHERE DOES HE ACTUALLY LIVE ? THAT THERE LONDON I SUSPECT

THE TOKEN WOMEN WELL SHE SHOULD BE AT HOME DOING WOMEN THINGS LIKE WASHING UP AND CLEANING AND MAKING THE POOR LITTLE LADS TEA BUT OBVIOUSLY A FAVORITE WITH THE BOD AS THEYRE LOOKING FOR SOME MUG TO RUN THE JUNIOR BLUES WILL SHE BE AT AN AWAY NIGHT MATCH AT EXETER

MOULDY PROBABLY THE BEST OF A BAD BUNCH BUT A COMPANY DIRECTOR OF A FIRM WHO IN THE PAST HAVE BEEN SPONSORS ETC AND SOMEONE WHO SEEMS TO HAVE TOO MUCH TIME ON HIS HANDS NOT EXACTLY WHAT YOUD CALL YOUR AVERAGE FAN

I UNDERSTAND THERE WERE SOME PRETTY GOOD CANDIDAT
