    re: What is your IQ?

I believe that most IQ tests have recently been described as 'meaningless and too simplistic'.
    Sounds about right.
Intelligence may be displayed in many forms, obsessing about IQ tests is almost certainly not one of them.

Most people make these statements when they struggle with tests. Rats you are correct in saying there is a difference between intellect and wisdom, sadly you lack both, this is clearly seen in the majority of posts you contribute to.

I also have a sports science masters, I suppose this is simple and meaningless too?

Don't knock something until you try it

Don't shoot the messenger Fac...a 'sports science masters', wow.
Intellectual vanity is a terrible thing ;-) .

    re: What is your IQ?

I do pretty well on IQ tests but there is a lot of acceptance in scientific circles that IQ tests are, in themselves, fairly meaningless:

Did Rattea deliberately use poor grammar to prove it doesn't relate to IQ?

    re: What is your IQ?

And KCG proves that he can't even read a statement and tries to use a debunked measure from it. Proves my point about being able to read and spell but can't comprehend any of it

A sports masters ..... Wow! Degrees etc actually mean nothing. It's mainly how to learn parrot fashion and down in most subjects the subjective opinion of someone else.

I know one of the largest companies in the world won't take on anyone with a degree in certain areas as they've usually got all their individuality taken out of the way they think and just can't think out the box! Probably why the are so successful.

You'll also find some with what some consider high intelligence have a lot of social issues which I've seen quite a lot in my industry. Can be very amusing.

I think most people have more intelligence than they would realise but they are blocked from using it out of fear of going outside perceived controls and rules.

Funny to see that and here is a great example.

Wow rats they say ignorance is bliss and you clearly epitomise this. If you had actually done a degree you would know it is not done parrot fashion where you replicate what the lecturer says. In fact you are expected to either contest or elaborate on what you have been given. This requires far greater research and understanding.

On a personal level, your grammar and spelling are appalling, granted this doesn't mean you are less intelligent just academically lacking and have a mental block with your literacy skills.

I appreciate the lifelong sell of education doesn't make you more intelligent, however I think you are getting muddled with intellect and wisdom. Let me define the difference. Intellect is knowledge, wisdom is knowing what to do with that knowledge...I hope this helps to clarify?

NB. Angry, I think the above statement regarding the female colleague clearly relates to the above statement. She clearly had intellect but lacked wisdom.

    University education: replicating other persons opinions' without engaging your own thoughts or intellect. For example;

"Jo states that Sammon is a quality footballer with great touch (Jo Bloggs 2013), however John argues that his vision and delivery distracts from his touch (John Barnes, 2014). We therefore conclude that Sammon is a great footballer, as Hughes is average in comparison (Rattea 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015)."
