Alto, I was touched to see a mention.

I've been cr@p being on forums lately. Had a suprising win and not being beaten by a handball or not having balls that crossed the line, but no official saw. A one 3rd full ground today, but I was very hungover and had only had 4 hours kip. So it was quite relaxing

Hope you lot are doing well?

No worries Dan, you have proved your worth on here even though you are a bastid with being articulate, compassionate, fair, humble and most of all you can have a laugh at yourself and others without taking a fence.

Burnley are doing well even though we are not on form yet with players out injured, not fit or behind on fitness, a hard test on Monday away to Derby but if we can win by 6 goals we can climb to 2nd

That's very annoying Gaz, playing sh!te while the other team are sh!ter yet losing to them, Don't hit the liquor bottle too hard Gazza.

Got to bloody laugh Alto. This season they are finally playing the type of football I've been longing for since being relegated. It's not producing the results, so shows what I know, (aside from us having the worst squad in at least 23 years, such s life). And it's the internet; I used to thrive on seeing people taking offence, but wouldn’t want to extend the same courtesy

Hey Dan, can you get some more Blacky Rovers fans on here, the more the merrier eh (even though they do call you the 'Bastids' on here and that always makes me giggle ).

As for today at the Blacky lashers, no thats not a good point for us Gaz because we outplayed them in the first half and it should have been about 0-3 at half time. How many times does this happen though, where its a different story in the second half.

Good point away tho Acido, surely?

The other way round Alto i.e. we were sh1ter than them, as the won.
One of the worst ever performances I have seen for many years. Took me back to the horrible days of Steve McMahon
Walking past the muppets at the end of the game and hearing "you're sh1t and you know you are . . . ; preceded by top of the league" was outrageous but I had to agree with them. Conts!!!

Anyway I still say we are going up!!!

Looking at the top of L1 as it is, it is obvious it isn't going to stay this way. Burton will drop like their trousers on a friday night in a brothel
Walsall will fade away due to getting tired as they have no strength in depth and punching way above their weight.
Gillingham Kents will just drift off quietly and no one will notice or remember them
Rochdale were my favourite team last season i.e. very tenacious
    Bury? no comment hahahaha

I could start a separate thread on here just so we could talk about our own teams and our thoughts on Lg One Gaz, but nobody wants to hear that do they!!. As for Steve McMahon though, it looked like he turned you into a very physical and hoofball team compared to the brilliant stuff that Glenn Hoddle & Gorman had you playing.

Onto our point at Blacky, yes I do take it as a point away from home and when I add it onto our previous game then it becomes 4 points out of 6 so there are positives to take when you look at it like that. Walsall & Gillingham are definitely up there on merit so it remains to be seen if they will fall away. I hate to say it but I still think the Blunts are favourites for the automatic places

Alreet Acido, your separate thread is a good idea. Alfred tried it last year and it was excellent for a short period then never got used.
Steve McMahon> Yeah you sum it up well really. Worst football I have ever seen at ours. At times a literally had tears of sorrow in my eyes because us fans were so loyal to the club during these times of him. My favourite song was @Steve McMahon is phuckin barmy" The fans turned up every week and sang it for long periods and if not singing it - clapping it. When the opposition inevitably scored the fans would drown out the aways cheers with that song.
It wasn't about football during that time it was about the FANS and the love of our club - so a big PHUCK OFF to McMahon
Mind you he was a great player when he actually played for us and hi ball control with pin point crossing / passing ability was a different league to the rest of the team

My post about the top of the league currently was tongue in cheek. But I don't think the league will look

Ok lets forget about a separate thread Gaz lets carry on on here...

Did things improve when Jimmy Quinn became your manager ?
I remember 2 totally different games against Swindon at Oakwell in 1998-99. In the first game in the run up to christmas we were offering all sorts of presents by playing an appallingly bad offside trap and conceded 3 in the first half. Although it did look like Iffy Onoura and co had bribed the linesman as well that day.
We also met in the Fa cup just around the corner and the replay at ours was a totally different story as Craig Hignett was the absolute star man on the night. We made a bad choice that season in appointing a favourite player as a player/manager and it just didnt work out for John Hendrie.

Jimmy Quinns Barmy Army was even sung and clapped in time to the tune by the great Swindon Town Manager 'Jim Quinn' (apparently he hated being called Jimmy)
Jimmy is a true Town legend and always will be. He was superb for us as a player
Unfortunately his managerial days were ill fated for him as we were in the crap financially (for the 1st reported time)
He did ok and was much loved but he had no money to build a team, we were playing with a skeleton squad.
I recall the shock I felt when we lost at yours so soon after dominating at yours earlier.
Jimmy had offered to help, the new to management scene, Iffy Onuora free of charge because Jim is a top bloke who sings when he manages
