Ella, the midfield on that incredible day was: Thorne, Hendrick, Hughes.

MMMmm...i had a vague memory that Bryson was on the bench that day or out with injury...still the point holds. When we have Hughes & Bryson back we have some midfield...

I must say I'm a fan of how Clement is managing Thorne this season. I can say with some certainty, Thorne could have played vs. MK Dons. Clement deemed it a fixture that was winnable without George, and despite our lackluster performance, that rings true.

Expect to see a fully fit, refreshed George Thorne on Saturday, which always makes a telling difference. When he's on top of his game, he generally gets MOTM.

Sounds like you have dreams about Bryson, Ella. It's not healthy mate.

I agree with the sentiment though, with Johnson giving some bite for Derby City the burden is lessened. However if we have Hughes back, Bryson doesn't get near the squad for me, unless Johnson gets injured.

It's a shame we don't have Mascerall this year, as I'd have him over Baird any day.

Baird seems to be a favourite of Clement, also being the Captain makes it hard to leave Baird out. His only average game was against Preston! Baird does nowt for me. Bench at best!

It seems Clement will play him every time. I expect to see him (Baird) at RB on Sat, with Forsyth at LB.

If Clement is as clever as I think he is, he will probably have calculated the number of games Thorne is likely to play this season. I reckon George will manage around 25 games or the equivalent in minutes on the field. This will still be of great value to the campaign, but I suspect PC does have a plan B and a plan C. Unfortunately it became a bit more complicated with the Hughes injury. That's cost us 6 points so far imo.
