Daylight robbery..it was good though.

Well my take is that yes we were unlucky to lose, but Gary Bowyer is very good at setting teams up to play well and lose!! All that effort for no reward, and Burnley better than us at "fighting for the scraps" getting the absolute maximum out of a team really no better than ours, ability wise, but so much better set out.
When its down to fine margins we appear too casual for comfort.i do think though Jordan Rhodes should be spared criticism as without his goals we would be in 24th place, make no mistake. Its just a pity that not one other of the ten outfield players can ever find the back of the net. Dont criticize Rhodes, criticize Lawrence instead who missed the best chance of the game, perfectly set up for him by Rhodes. But Bowyer had no strikers on the bench(whats Chris Brown being paid for?)but taking off Delfouneso who had a decent game didnt look sensible to me,it should have been Lawrence to at least change things round for the Burnley central defenders.
Overall a good perform
Dan Rr, interesting to hear you think we are one of the better sides to come to Ewood, Most of the clarets fans feel we are a playing poorly, not sure how we win most of our games tbh . The better team is not necessarily the winning team, the best team at the turf this season imo was Sheffield Wednesday, who played us off the park and still got beat 3 1.
Reminds me of us under big Sam. Had he remained in charge it'd be 37 years now and non of this sh1t would have happened. We'd even be happy with venkys im sure..Originally Posted by 0oogeorgeoghani
You can trace all this back to that one decision, firing sam. Everything else, Williams going etc followed in its wake..
I console myself with the fact you've only beaten us as a result of a manufactured decline, not because you've got greatly better..
Wow, that last sentence is quite remarkable coming from a rovers fan.
Shush don't mention the money and we can pretend it never happened.
Burnley have built their team up over the years through hard work and graft, rovers however had one bought but then when the money dried up had no way of sustaining it.
If you are happy selling your sole for success have a bit of balls when it all goes wrong.
To repeat the song that echoed around Ewood.
Long live the Venkys!!!!
jordann12rhodes ....you are a d..k head .i thought you had resigned from ever posting again ...i presume the 12 is your age ........there are a lot of good posters on here but you are a complete idiot.......rovers have declined in recent years but played very well today ,and could have won to say burnley only won cos of them not getting any better shows wat a complete idiot u really are
In terms of workrate, closing down and and playing disiplined lines off the ball, you looked better than most. Reminded me of how Rovers set out against Liverpool at Anfield in a cup match in the late 90's and we won 1-0. It makes it difficult for teams to play through. That said, the amount of chances we created, we can only look at ourselves in terms of the result.Originally Posted by 0oogeorgeoghani
That last bit just emphasises my point, without venkys and their decision to dispense with BSA, you'd never have got near us..Originally Posted by M4CCA
