In my original post I asked Weimann to prove me wrong and his past form had been poor. The lad had struggled and looked as if he was turning out to be a waste. My honest assessment and unlike many on here I stuck my neck out and criticised him, which is apparently a crime... Anyway, on Saturday he showed a bit of promise. As Rapid had said, he seemed to go missing a bit and despite the goal I (and my 11 mate) didn't think he played well. With him having only having a couple of bright spells, yet everyone was acting as if it was man of the match standard... I beg to differ.
Tonight Mr. Weimann played better than I thought he did on Saturday. His energy meant that Perch and Konchesky were sent huffing and puffing whenever he got a run on them and took his goal well. But there will still large parts of the game where he went missing and I still think he has a lot to do. Yet he has improved in each of the last three games so who knows how far this can escalate.
Anyway, I haven't

As I said, stuck my neck out. If people don't take risks in life then they end up like you![]()

So you just repeat the same old stuff about Saturday - try watching the match back and you'll see his excellent second half goal attempt if the blinkers are removed. Its not just when he has the ball that he contributes in any case.
Saturday was only his 3rd Championship start - bit soon to be writing him off.
Thankfully he does not need your approval.
In his previous starts and sub appearances he was playing like a rabbit. Quick and running a lot, but not into anywhere useful and not doing anything on the ball. At the time he looked as if he didn't fit the system and wouldn't find a way into the team. Luckily for him, Ince's injury has meant that he's had a chance and so far he's taken it. Still a long way to go before he's proved his worth though. Also blackandwhite56, one touch of the ball in the second half does not drastically change his involvement in the game.
As I said before, I like to stir the pot a bit on this board and stick my neck out. You three being the main 'boring farts' in question that wouldn't have anything to talk about on this board if it wasn't for people like me standing out from the crowd and saying what's on their mind.
Welcome back Mr Congeniality, still showing us all how to win friends and influence people I see
Give it a rest RamBam, most of the stick you got was for being petulant and disrespectful not for being controversial. By all means stick to your guns and keep making your point - despite what some say it's not particularly 'manly' cos it's just a football forum not a bloody Clint Eastwood movie - but I'd watch the 'abuse' bit cos it'll only end in tears...again...people will bite back. Anyway nice to have you back. Good win tonight against the nastiest side I've seen for a while, thought AW played very well and that his pace worried them all night.
Apart from the fact that he touched the ball more than once, it wasn't your opinion that irked people it was your assertion that anyone who thought different or dared to give their opinion and gain say yours were labelled deluded by you.
I dont agree with your view or your description of his performances, players contribute more in a match than just when they play the ball as any football fan knows.
I wouldn't say I was disrespectful, just getting across my point. I'd been making my point for a while and no one seemed to disagree until he scored, funny that. I'm not going to sit here and carry on talking about the game on Saturday because everyone else has already jumped on that bandwagon. Nor am I going to defend my 'assertions' from Saturday or my 'abuse'. God help you all if what I said 'irked' you.
