Thinking about this yesterday his tenure has bee two halves definitely. And completely contrasting.
First half all attacking, right up in your face, aggressive to in style and throwing caution to the wind.
Second half has come out and stayed back playing a calm passing game and letting other do the running about. (So far!)
We had a post on here a while back claiming he was just waiting for bigger job to come up. That I don't buy into. For all i don't agree with or like I think that's very unfair to even suggest that. I am quit

I've never levelled any accusations at him outside the way things have been done and perceiptions. The integrity and character of the person I wouldn't question and have never had reason to. He's come here done a job, like it or not, and I stand by that I don't agree with quite a few things. That's my opinion.
He has clearly come in as a "change agent" to the club. There are many of those in the world and I have seen some bad and some nasty ones. Don't get confused Swale Sam Rush is at the much better end of the scale than most from what I have witnessed. He's done a job, done it well or the way he's gone about it is open to opinion.
Would anyone wish the likes of Murdo McKay and co back! Absolutely not and I have to say the two are chalk and cheese. Under Tom Glick there was integrity and the same remains under Sam Rush something that was missing for years.
There are still big questions if Mel hadn't come along where would we be. The boat had been pushed out last year. Wha
Those first two paragraphs appear like a U-turn of Osbornesque proportions Rats.
Still, fair play, at least you went, listened and showed a willingness to change your opinion.
No not a u turn at all. I stand by my opinions on the first half.
Reasonings for the second half is what is what would be nice to understand. Another poster has already accused him of basically treading water.
My opinion is based on events and what's happening or happened and I base my opinion on the first half and now on the second.
Doesn't mean I change my mind in the first half. On the contrary it's probably more concrete now than ever! But if things chance it means that I am open to recognise that. But to change an opinion you need proof and reason to. If he were to up and leave for a bigger job next week where would that leave opinion.... Things can change.
I guess the only person that can prove me wrong ..... Is Sam Rush! We'll see.
I wonder it Rattea's softening of attitude toward's Rush has anything to do with actually meeting him? I think it's hard to deny that Sam Rush comes across as a little smarmy and maybe even shifty on video. Yet face-to-face he's anything but. When you talk to him directly he comes off as sincere, competent and deeply committed to doing his best for all stakeholders in DCFC - fans, owners, players, staff etc.
I also think that his eagerness to see the club prosper is genuine. Indeed, he would be stupid if it wasn't - and Sam Rush is not known for his stupidity. It is in his interests to do the best job possible and ensure that DCFC achieve the best possible on and off-field results. Sam Rush, the CEO who got Derby County into Europe whilst turning a profit, would be hot property indeed, whether he stayed with us, led *bleep*nal out of Wengerism or went on to run FIFA. I don't believe that Sam Rush loves Derby, but I think he likes us and appreciates that it is in his interests to lo
That's an interested post Cornwall. First thing I have sat back and thought about is people in the public eye are there to a certain degree to have comment passed. But at the same time they are just as human as anyone and that can get forgotten easily. You know I stand up for Joey Barton, at times, when others are gunning for him. Not to be hypocritical I have to apply that to others.
I wouldn't say there is a softening attitude. The first half my feeling haven't changed. The well mentioned Starbucks-gate for example. I'm willing to put some of the other things I've expressed opinion down to naivety to a degree.
Whilst the q and a was going on I realised how limited it can be in responding. They need to watch every word as perdandantic creatures like me will jump onto every slip or ambiguity. The same is for the questioners as its hard for them to correct or keep directing the respondent if it meanders from the point. A good example of that was Simon Grooms question (I didn't r
