Are the latest shootings anywhere near you?

No - not in CA these days. However, this is the wild west so a shooting is never far away - I believe 350+ mass shootings already this year.

Ah, I thought somebody on this board ( thought it was you) had mentioned San Bernardino in relation to something.

Might have been CTMilller who was down in the San Diego area until recently but I think he's migrated north to be closer to his offspring. As I said though you are never far away from a mass shooting - one here in Seattle last week outside a supermarket that didn't really get any publicity beyond this area as miraculously all 5 that were shot survived.

As CAM says, I was living in Southern California until recently but even then I was a good two hours drive south of San Bernadino. I have several friends in the Riverside/San Bernadino area but everybody I know is OK.

Good to hear all are ok, with world wide Millers anybody could get caught up in these atrocities.

Says a lot when possibly the world's most powerful individual is constantly wring his hands in frustration at the power of the Gun Lobby

Absolutely shocking the mentality of Americans, i just don't get it, 350+ mass shootings in a year is an astoundind statistic, yet they defend their 'right' to bear arms....human beings are one screwed up species...

Now that the FBI has classed the latest incident as a terrorist act you might see even more citizens building their arsenals for "defensive" purposes.

Already are JR as gun sales took a big jump the day after, not necessarily in fear of terrorism but more in fear of stricter gun laws. I must admit it's getting to the point where I might join them.
