    God that was boring

That was 90 minutes I'll never get back...

We struggled to really create much in that, even though we had a considerable amount of the ball despite being away. The front three seemed to be making runs for through balls but the midfielders didn't want to play them, and when any of the three got on the ball they struggled to do anything with it. All of them seemed a bit of the ball, Ince especially but that's been the story of his season so far. Russell looked threatening when he came on, wouldn't be surprised if he replaced Ince against Brighton. I thought Johnson and Butterfield looked tricky and were two of our better performers. Johnson was as combative as ever. Thorne got caught in possession a few times but his passing was spectacular at times.

I don't think either side played particularly well, but both were defensively sound. Hutchinson for them looked very good despite him not being a natural centre back. We restricted them to long shots, the closest they came really was

    Yes, boring as hell...
I would say 2 pts dropped though. Apart from Grants save in the first half I did not think they looked like getting through. The defence did what they are paid for, the midfield struggled and the front three were poor. It's only an acceptable point IF we beat Brighton next week.
I was not too impressed with Weds, decent team but nothing special..

Today's game is the exact reason I did not get too excited about beating Hull. We have a long way to go and are far from being a Premier League team. some get way too excited about the odd periods in games.

Both teams 5/10 in a poor game.

Same old story I'm afraid. Once we come across a side that plays defensively with two banks of 4 who are energetic we just don't have a clue how to beat them. Midfield was very poor I know you can only see a small part of the field on tele but even then you could see forward players running into space and our midfield and defenders refusing to pass to them. Instead prfering to pass the ball amongst themselves. Some of our control was poor today as well. Still next two homw games we can put it right. I can't see Brighton coming with a defensive line up.

I agree with most of that except weds were the better team and deserve a higher rating than us.

Agree Wednesday were the better of two dour sides today...just about.
On the plus side, despite being below par, we did come closest, finished the stronger and are still third.
On the down side, I don't doubt Ince's ability, but at the moment him starting is like only having ten men. Martin looks lost and, at the risk of repeating myself, horribly isolated as captain when things aren't going our way, while Thorne is like that child in the story who, when he's good he's very, very good but when he's bad - as he was for the first half hour today - he's awful.

Yeah I agree, Weds were the better team on the day.. 6.5 / 10 for them then.
We looked slow and lethargic again.. Question for everyone who keep bleating on about players needing a rest.... Weds were more at it than us and we had 8 days off.. So is the rest a positive or negative thing. Weds had a game midweek and yes did rest some but sometimes the rest takes your edge away.

I agree. Can't complain about picking up a point but it was as dull as dish water. Also, what about the home fans? I never do but, never complain about the atmosphere at the Ipro after that.

Agree with you there Tamworth, thought there would be more there too. First half hour was like a morgue and set the tone for a dull game.

Hillsborough has always been a library for some reason. Away their fans are brilliant and will song non-stop all match, second best away fans only to Leeds. But at Hillsborough it's the complete opposite. No idea why.

Yes that was dire so glad to hear the final whistle .I fail to see what Ince brings to this team I get tired of people saying hes a match winner when are we going to see it. The opposition are just making him go down the line knowing he cant cross with right foot . Little wonder Martin is struggling to score theres nothing coming in from either flank because Weiman cant cross with his left foot either Must say though Shackel and Keogh were very good today good job they were because it is hard to think of anybody else performed like we know they can
