    Grimshaw gone

He's gone south to sign for a club in England. Looks like we tried hard to sign him permanently but could not match the package form the English club. A real pity as he was a very positive player for us. It also gives us an immediate problem in midfield for Tynecastle with Las suspended. Maybe we might see another loan signing? - view external link

Real shame as the young man had settled and was playing really well, right wee battler. Wish him all the best.
We now desperately need a holding centre mid and a wide midfielder, not another winger necessarily someone who can defend as well as push on, every club would love those types of players and there not cheep...anybody got a spare couple of million?

Hope our manager has plans to replace. Not normally negative but fear for the big hole in our midfield with no equivalent replacements currently on the playing staff.
Particularly against a very physical Hearts.

No panic we've got Jack Leitch free...!!! least we will beat Hearts at flapping wrists / pointing skills on Saturday.

The club has indeed other irons in the fire. We all know that mark McGhee likes a strong central midfield and so we an expect him to fill this gap. As it stands our central midfield for Tynecastle will probably look something like Cadden, Laing and Pearson.

Sorry to see him go he did a lot of the donkey work in the midfield and sometimes did get the credit he deserved for the work he did off the ball.Just hope McGhee has thought of the possiblity of Grimshaw leaving and already has someone in mind, otherwise he may play Law n midfield and bring Watt into defence.Wish Grimshaw all the best and would like to think Man United felt he gained something during his time with us.

Massive disappointment on this 1 but nothing more the club could have done rumour is its Preston hes off to which is obviously next to Manchester and hes getting much more money than we can afford good luck to him hope it works out if not he knows where we are lol

Bit of a bummer that as he was a decent player in midfield. Hopefully McGhee has someone in mind to fill the gap left in midfield.

We're probably *bleep*ed for Tynecastle given Lasley is suspended and now Grimshaw is away - it's a blow but it's more important we get the right guy/guys in than panic for the sake of Saturday.

Not ideal - he grew into our team over the weeks and never failed to put himself about. I hope he does well. I've got my ticket for Tynecastle, but now that our two midfield chasers are out, I'm not as hopeful as I was. Still, it'll be interesting to see how MM sets us up. Hearts aren't an exceptional football team, but they're big muscular boys who have plenty of 'commitment' - that's the kind word - so it may not be the ideal day for the likes of Dom Thomas! We'll see.
