    Curley Wurleys were another favourite, I think they still make them, filling and tough destroyers though!

    All the smoking paraphenalia was amazing looing back on it. Chocolate and candy cigarettes, liquorice pipes and some wierd candy chewing tobacco..

    Nowadays it will be chocolate flavoured vapes...

    Yes you can. There are a couple of old fashioned sweet shops in Chester and there is one in Stockton Heath near Warrington.

    You still can down south... theres a place in Reigate and another in Redhill. Difference is you cannot buy them in quarter punds but in stupid gramme things. I still order in pounds and ounces though and leave it up to them to work it out.

    Theres a similar old style sweet shop in bakewell and like you Rog I ask for half or a quarter pound, rhubarb custards and black currrent liquorice are my current fav car sweets
