Raith vs. Queens in Battle of Kirkcaldy for the Race to the Final Play-Off

Raith vs. Queens on Tuesday night has the official Nick Walsh in charge. His last outing was at Palmerston when Queens lost 4-1 to Livingston after being up 1-0 at half time. Let's hope for a better result this midweek....

This games importance can't be understated . Raith won today 4-3 v St.Mirren courtesy of a hat trick by on loan ranger and Stranraer boy Ryan Hardie. This opens up a four point gap on us for the battle for fourth place . We could potentially be one point behind them after the game or SEVEN points adrift.edit to add that we have a game in hand but would have to win it.

Simply a must win game so remove the shackles and let's go for it from the start. None of the recent caution and play a team setup to attack Raith as we really have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Mon the South!!!!!!

It`s not a must win game. I absolutely agree we should attack Raith but a draw wouldn`t end our hopes of 4th. We`d be 4 points behind with a game in hand and would still have a home game with Raith before seasons end.
Not ideal but a draw certainly doesn`t end our hopes. - view external link

I disagree Dobmeister. We must start this game with a positive attitude that only a win is good enough, with an attacking lineup and formation. Any talk that a draw is good enough is negative prior to any match especially one as important as this one if we are to retain any ambitions for the fourth place playoff spot. Positive vibes only!!!!!

I would be amazed if Fowler approached this game any different to his usual borefest.

A draw away to Raith would be a very decent result and keep us within range of them. Of course a win would be better but I would settle for draw.

This next week coming with the 3 away games all against teams who like us still have ambitions of
finishing fourth could make or break our season. Queens have only lost 11 goals away this season
    - the best next to Rangers but then you look at the goals scored on our travels and it is a pathetic 9
    only !

Getting 3 points for a win should be enough incentive to go for a win home or away. Difficult to score if you don't cross the halfway line.

Agree totally with Dobmeister, there's plenty of football to be played yet - both in attack and defence !

A draw or, heaven forbid, a defeat tomorrow would not be the end of it but would certainly give Raith a big boost.
