    A Day at The Den

    Hi all, whilst we were enjoying a magical comeback against Everton, my wife and step-daughter were having a day out at Millwall.
    Me and my Mrs were invited to the "For Jimmy Day" by Barry and Margaret Mizen. Their son Jimmy a Millwall fan was just 16 when he was murdered in 2008. They vowed that his death would not be in vain and set up a charity to help young people and provide Safe Haven's in towns and cities for vulnerable kids.
    Barry and Margaret are friends of ours and my wife's son Danny O'Shea was also murdered, only 18 years old in December 2011.
    Unfortunately I couldn't make the day as I've just had an operation. But my wife and step-daughter had a wonderful day at Millwall. Julie was presented with a beautiful signed, framed West Ham shirt. Although it was too big to be carried on the pitch, so if any of you saw the news, that was her own shirt she was presented with not the real one.

    thats a very touching post fella, always gives me strength and pride knowing how important a football community is regardless what club you support!

    Thanks John. Football is, was and always should be part of and involve the local community. Sadly, so many owners today forget this. To them football is purely business.
