Jake Pickard is a waste of space IMO .

I know he's young , I know he's a lot to learn but if they're wanting to give him 1st team experience then ship him out on loan to a lower league team where he can learn his trade .

    Harsh perhaps but true

Harsh to say he's a waste of space, that honour should go to the guy who picks him and plays him in a pseudo striker role. Again it's the cautious defensive trait that Fowler thrives on, he can drop back into midfield and defend.

I will say again, if Fowler is still here next season and he doesn't change his mindset then the club will not get any of my money as I will not subsidise that brand of football.

Well Mr. Fowler, now is the time to change your tactics.

I'm not asking for your head, but countless others are. No, I am meekly asking that you consider the following:
    1) Sit in the main stand to observe the whole game. - with a disguise if needs be!
    2) Avoid the suicide passes in defence and midfield.
    3) Play fast strikers.
    4) Close down the opposition quickly, but conversely make space and offer angles for midfield players to deliver killer passes when we have the ball.
    5) Stop dithering when it comes to tactical changes.
    6) Ignore criticism on match days, - the days of the long punt are long gone, but equally keeping possession with a suicide pass is unforgiveable.
    7) I think the fans have a right to be entertained. Stubbornly setting out a defensive stall to gain 4th place has been blown away by Raith Rovers, - and so you might as well change your tactics as you have nothing to lose, - and you might even keep your own position if you entertain the fans and win more gam

Suggesting he sits in the mainstand to observe the whole game is a ridiculous idea . Get real man

Don't see any other mangers doing it

    re: Change of tactics required

Excuse me sir, if you read my first post I suggest that the manager - or any manager for that fact, should check out the game from a higher vantage point, - as he or she will be able to obtain a much better idea of the tactical battle.

To put it another way, it's like trying to assess how the coast undulates around Carsethorn by looking at it from the Steamboat, - but if you climb to the top of Criffel on a clear day, you'll not only see the coast around Carsethorn, but Southerness, Sandyhills and the rest all the way to Dumfries!

With regards to battles, all leaders chose the highest possible vantage point to assess how the tactics were working, - or not as the case may be.

Therefore I am getting real, - very real indeed! Mr. Fowler should "get his ass in the stand and keep in touch with his number two" - (so to speak) throughout the first 20 -30 minutes and then come down to the touchline and feed back valuable information to his troops at half time.

I don't hold with managers watching games from the stands. Too easy to be detached from the coaching staff, Physio, subs, players on the pitch. Much better to get a trusted lieutenant to watch the game from a good vanatage point and be in regular communication with him and certainly get his feedback in the dressing room at half time.

All good managers will watch a full video of each game at least once and make decisions on the sort of issues that have been alluded to on an ongoing basis. Going into the stand to watch the game is not necessary.

I think it is a good idea to have someone watching from the stand, why do TV cameras film from the stand and not the dugout, because the view is better.

It would be better to change things during the game than wait till the video comes out which is too late.

Fowler's cautious approach can be excused if we are away to the likes of Rangers,Hibs and and perhaps Falkirk but there is very little to choose between any of the other teams in this division. We must be more offensive against all the others and have at least a go at beating them home or away playing our most attacking formation. I do believe we have the players to achieve this so I really struggle to understand his attitude this season and it is little wonder that there is so much dissatisfaction from the fans.
