A new manager?

Finished with this season as far as aspirations go . I will still be at Palmerston of course for the remainder but have been disappointed in the main , no matter who we have previously lost player wise . This team has had the potential to do far better than they have but for whatever reason, have not performed . The midfield have contributed a meagre amount of goals, being exceptionally poor and the worst part of the team for me . . I am now looking to next season, a new start , a clean slate and more fresh hopes but let's make sure we don't end up in the sticky mess behind us now. Roll on the summer , get shot of some dead wood and start again.
A new manager?
Pretty much sums up my feelings exactly .Originally Posted by JRSLEFTPEG

A very disappointing season but we have always been on the back foot thanks to the team being gutted due to the departure of so many players.
The mucking about with fixture dates has not helped and a total disregard for fans is unacceptable.
Tuesday at Starks Park did it for me. I won't be giving my money to any other club now. At least today's team selection was better at Paisley. Still not enough to get me going there though.
Season has been more or less as I suspected in terms of where we lie in the table. I've witnessed some good things but rarely a cracking performance for a whole 90 mins. I agree the midfield has been at the heart of our problems plus our lack of striking options. I wouldn't change the manager but would not be resigning a good few of the current squad.
I too am worried - as one of the older brigade - about the numbers of young supporters attending. Looking around it's hard to believe that full- time football in Scotland can survive. The BoD at Palmy have done a great job of increasing the club's income though. It would be great if we could increase the home support, using some of that money.
If people are not happy whats on offer this season then what is going to change for next ?
Its not like we were caught out late with all of last seasons departures!. We had ample time to assemble a decent enough squad and even had time in the January transfer to bolster for 4th !
The squad does lack quality especially in midfield as mentioned but the real problem is poor leadership. Every week its a changed team and / or a changed formation not to mention a negative style which should not really be as the squad is top heavy with attack minded players. Its a unsettled squad who have never really gelled as a team from start to finish.
This season has been a PR disaster. If nothing is changed in the summer then i fear season tickets and attendances will take a major hit next year.
Something HAS to change!!
There was nothing negative - style wise - about today's performance.
We ended up with Lyle, Russell, Oliver and Hilson on the park with Dowie at CF for good measure !
This 'defensive' accusation has been magnified beyond belief.
Certainly, we are not as dangerous or effective as last season but we all know the reasons why !
We were by far the better team 1st half today with Kidd linking really well with Oliver and Murdoch down the right.
We had to contend with 2 enforced subs., Marshall within 5 mins (hamstring) and Kidd (looked like knee) at HT.
This obviously impacted on our game plan but we adapted fairly well.
St.Mirren were awarded a very soft penalty, in fact I think Higgins was fouled before it. and took the lead totally against the run of play.
Whenever I see the ref is Alan Muir I know it will be case of hiding behind one's hands and daring to look if you dare.
We had plenty of spirit but maybe not enough guile to break them down 2nd half when the
Raith Rovers were forced to make an early change to their team with the injury to Davidson but they still pumped us .
You don't win games by being the better side in the first half
The fact of the matter is , we've lost again against a team who's really struggled this season .
We all knew this season was going to be tough but some of the performances and results are unacceptable .
The BOD's must not make a very important decision
STICK or TWIST
for me its now time for fowler to move on ,let a new man take his place for the rest of season so he can evaluate the current players he wants to keep before the window opens again ,and noticed in one of the above posts about the young lads ,theres not much chance of them coming back there finished with coming to games after receiving no backing from the bod against the police tactics .
Will go to Dumbarton game next week, but depending on result/performance it may be my last of the season.
Have already missed 3 home games this year. Two of them, last August were due to being on holiday, but more worrying was the Hibs game last week, where I just couldn't be bothered going.
Don't do many away games now. In fact the only one this year was at Annan at the start of the season, and I suppose when you look
back on it, there was nothing very encouraging there either, apart from conroys goal.
Just hope we can end the season with a few half decent performances to get the fans back supporting the team, but at the moment I am not holding my breath.
