The football under Wassell is dire he needs to be removed now, feel sorry for the fans that went today shocking performance, absolutely fed up wish the season was over now, it may as well be .
We're in serious danger of falling out now and I think it's very realistic. Wassall is absolutely clueless.
Three main problems/mistakes by Wassall.
1 Making Keogh captain again, his game has gone downhill since.
2 Dropping Christie and putting Hanson there.
3 Insisting on playing Johnson on the wing.
And that's just for starters.
The guy is infuriating , he is so far out of his depth is unreal you can tell the players can see this and are just not playing for him . Just how Has full a full Irish international RB (going to the euros) been replaced In his position by an inexperienced CM ? How does BJ get the shirt every week by default ? Awful again today I just don't know what he offers playing on the left . We must be the only team in the football league that doesn't play with wingers . Boring , no passion , crap tactics , just shocking. This is far far worse than the football under Clement.
I honestly have no idea what Christie has done? If anything he's been the most consistent player since Wassall came in!
I agree with everything ramman says. The bloke is absolutely clueless and it's embarrassing.
I'm sorry Mel but if this tripe you're overseeing is the Derby Way I hope you've got deep pockets because you're going to need them!! Take off your blinkers and get us an experienced manager now, please!!
Didn't go...can't comment...other than to say, from what little I heard it sounded pretty dismal and uninspiring on Radio Derby. 'Lacking passion and mid table mediocrity' were the phrases I believe. Strange in the circumstances.
Got to the stage where I just want the season to end and start again with the right person in charge.
Don't really blame DW for making Keogh captain RP. What choice did he have? Not exactly a long list of candidates. No one we've tried this season has really worked and an on pitch leader is something that was hopelessly overlooked by Clement in the summer.
Along with the right manager, the recruitment of an inspirational leader, preferably of the 'midfield general' variety, is - imo - the most important requirement next summer. Doesn't have to be a 'star', just someone who knows the game and leads by effort and example, someone in the mould of Robbie VdL or Ian Taylor. Any suggestions?
It would probably be a blessing to drop out now and forego any false opes, but I think we will know after the Hull game on Tuesday, lose that and we will most likely be out of the top 6 and doubt whether we will get back in.
Pretty sure Hull will turn us over on Tuesday not looking forward to it at all , I love my football and it's a sad day when I have to turn round and say that. The season started with so much promise , going great by Xmas then one little blip MM loses his bottle and bang now we're down to this , an out of his depth academy manager playing dire footbal,l dire tactics over and over again .May can't come soon enough .
Completely agree with the getting rid of the false hopes bit Swale...if this season was a dog it'd be put down. Suspect the agony might be prolonged though...Cardiff are away at Burnley on Tuesday and it would be typical of our bunch of under achievers to come up with the best performance since...oh, yeah...Hull away...and reignite everyone's expectation.Originally Posted by swaledale
