Thread: Martin needs Russell and Bryson

    Martin needs Russell and Bryson

There is no coincidence whatsoever that the return of Russell and Bryson to regular selection has started Chris Martin's return to goalscoring form.

Chris Martin needs legs around him, and the three of them have an understanding that has been built up over four seasons.

The question is can we now blend the rest of the team around them to compliment them?

    Johnson adds steel.

Ince adds penetration if he is allowed to wander in a 'free' role.

Thorne adds protection and craft to the base of the midfield. I must say that he still isn't hitting the heights of 2014. Maybe with fitness and games, he can reach his peak at exactly the right time.

I think Wassall has finally discovered the right balance with Olsson and Christie offering width and penetration from the flanks.

    This is the year.

Whilst I think you make some valid points, I don't think we can hang out the flags based on one good performance ag
