Am I the only one thinking that if Derek Lyle isn't playing for us next season (which I hope he will be), I'd like to see him in the manager's seat?
Today's double see's Lyle leapfrog Stevie Mallan's 94 goals for Queens and equal Tommy Bryce's 95 .....
He's a chance to overtake Bryce next Sunday against Hibs and who knows we might even see him again next season ???

Possibly, but a few years down the line....Originally Posted by StuartMcLaren

I really hope we get another season of Del and Beanie.
The version I was told suggested Degsy as manager and Skelton as assistant. A
My informant suggested that training would move to Dumfries, saving money and a Connollyesque invasion of players from NW and NE of England.
All I want is a successful team; don't mind who.
you have to be kidding ,no way can we be seen to be appointing another rookie manager with a rookie assistant behind him ,hopefully queens can show some sense here and go for someone whos had success at a higher level .
In my opinion, what we are seeing at the moment in Derek Lyle is one of the greatest players to ever play for us in our 97 year history. I thought he was done in and then runs about today like a 25 year old . I don't know how he does it . When his playing time at Palmerston is up , I would like to see him kept in some kind of role within the club . As for being our boss, well, I wouldn't like things to not turn out for him and for some fans to turn on him. Wouldn't be right for someone that has done that much for Queen Of The South . Power to the tan !
The extra training he does is obviously working wonders. I really think he deserves a contract for next season as his experience is invaluable and he has obviously still has the fire and determination.
I can't say that I would ever see him as a manager but who knows. We could see the likes of Jamie Mcalister one day returning to pick up the reigns though.
The club madea huge statement in regards to Fowler not having the ambitions equaling those of the Club by sacking him with 2 games left. If the rumours of a Townsend / Skelton duo were true I would question those ambitions. Maybe it would work, but as an statement of intent then i very much doubt it installs much confidence.
