We have a new Mayor of our Capital city.

I for one am delighted that London is now being run by a Labour Muslim.

Had Boris stood he would probably have won again for Conservative. So is this a non political decision because people don't like Goldsmith. Maybe people have voted along ethnic/religious lines and see Sadiq Khan as 'one of us'.

Did Boris not have to stand down as he had served his time ? Lovely day, the garden chore I had allotted myself has been completed. Daz is in the City so maybe its time to think of heading towards Fp.

No problem with the sending off or the disallowed goal. Apart from that I thought the ref was shocking, plus the NS lino too. I really hope we get 2 decent Refs against Plymouth, it isn't a lot to ask is it ?

Surely something has to be done about the quality of officials. Why don't more players take it up ?

Managers and Pundits go on about ex players taking it up but I can only think of one who has made it to the Football League. Its a free world, choices to make etc but obviously they opt not to. I was once appointed as a linesman in a Sus*** County League game. Shoreham v Sidley if my old mind is ticking over correctly. Despite having been on the line in Navy/Service games I hated it that Saturday afternoon. The Ref would always say "Offsides are Yours" and "flag if you see any infringements". There was so much going on on and off the ball it was impossible to see everything. I had a guy from the crowd screaming in my ear "Did you see that Linesman ?". I hadn't because I was watching for offside. Give me an old fashioned West Sus*** Div 3 or 4 game with Bilsham and Yapton with club linesmen helping as they saw fit (long story that) kicking lumps out of each other any Saturday.
