Three red cards wouldn't have been out of place for them Thursday evening. None were issued. Freeman correctly got a red against Northampton. Sawyer a yellow for the same awful challenge. Gavin Ward (the 4th official) couldn't wait to get involved with the touchline incident drawing the Refs attention to it. Yet not one of the 4 officials saw the head butt. It beggars belief what Argyle have to do to get a red card at Fratton.
Its not about having 'happy times in Devonport Dockyard'. Lovedean, leave all that sentimental crap behind Sir. **** me, I've spent time in Drake. So what?

So, despite the fact that making deliberate contact with the head is a straight red, the ref being clearly incompetent, or worse, lying when he said he did not see the offence and then, after reviewing the incident, saying there was no case to answer, this piece of work is playing tonight? It beggars belief. What are the odds on him scoring?

I hope our keeper situation has improved. Argyle will be testing Allsop big style.

Agree Scarfs. Dont know about you but worried about Burgesss and Barton as a centre back pairing? They are too similar imo - both like playing the ball out from the back but probably neither strong enough physically to cope with what will be coming tonight. Barton has done well stepping into the breach but if Clarke had been playing I reckon neither of those goals would have gone in. The bully-boy Nutter needs some of his own medicine.

We need a strong and fair ref tonight who is prepared to keep his eyes open and not bottle it on difficult decisions. Which will make him the first one we have seen this season. Better late than never.

Was about to mention the ref as well. Cook mentioned the plan was to attack so I guess he's well aware of our defensive issues with B & B.

I don't enjoy these games - didn't enjoy either Cup Final. Dead pleased we got there but the tension...
