I agree.
If the club are putting out misleading statements it brings into question ALL club statements.
Very poor, yet again, media interaction from the club.

Correct me if I am wrong but the club have stated several times that they have offered contracts to 5 out of contract players including Derbs.
He now leaves as predicted by me and strangely the club feel the need to make a statement informing us that Derbyshire was not offered a new contract.
It seems very odd indeed..the contradiction and that they feel the need to put the denial out there.
It's worrying that Evans left with explanation refused.
It's worrying that Warnock left ditto
It's worrying that as forecast by me only one of five players has signed again
We only have 10 or 11 players and very soon pre season will start... A very bad sign indeed.
Last season we finished by signing a motley crew of misfits who remarkably I admit got us out of trouble and it's of great concern that this is all we can do .
I do not agree with gwru that we should not question.
Something is not quite right to my way of thinking...I am not exactly sure what but something is amiss.
Time will tell as always.
I agree.

I didn't think the club had said that we had offered new contracts to the 5 players.
The statement below says that we are in talks with the players.

It doesn't seem to make any sense in drawing up contracts for players that have other offers in the pipeline or aren't looking to stay because of money. Those discussions can happen without a contract being offered.
I started replying to a thread last night - but must have fallen asleep watching England. Anyway, it was along the lines of why has it taken the club (at least) three weeks to say they weren't offering Derbyshire a contract; why has Stubbs given us 5 or 6 dates for resolving the out of contract players' situation with the timescale being missed on every occasion... Obviously, if a lot is happening behind the scenes and we are keeping quiet on plans that's a welcome strategy - but I can't help but feel decidely uncomfortable about the whole situation at the club. (He said, trying desperately to retain the last vestiges of patience and a degree of optimism).
I haven't got one once of worry: Tony Stewart
Only worry I've got. If we haven't offered Derbs a contract why are we offering Kelly one. He's nearly 3 years older, was injured for half of the time he was here last season. Not a good risk.
Probably TS rang PD and said "nowt much happening,Ive got a good idea lets not say owt for a while and wind them feckers up on millersmad"
On Twitter official RUFC page "millers boss Stubbs says discussions are nearing conclusion with the players offered contracts by RUFC"
That was posted 8th June
So why are they lying????????

Where does that lie???????? Derbyshire might not been one of the ones offered a contract. Maybe we offered to Broadfoot and Best. That statement just says that the players that have been offered a contract (not necessarily the 5 that we were in talks with) are nearing a conclusion.
Calm down, read, process and think!!!!![]()
These players out of contract are taking too long now to decide and for that reason we should cancel their contract renewal offers imo. If they were that committed in staying then they all would have signed by now. As for worrying about the squad size, im in no doubt we will have a full squad of players near enough by time it gets to first game, ages away from beginning of season and alot of clubs haven't signed players yet.
