I didn't want to leave the EU and I don't especially want May running the country.

However, we voted to leave and May is moving into No. 10 - and I actually think she's the best option out of the bunch that were available. For one horrible moment, the reality of Johnson and Trump being in office on opposite sides of the pond looked unbelievably nearer. At least the baffoon is out the way.

What this country needs now is some stability in government. Sterling and the stock market needs time to recover, or atleast show signs of recovering but what the markets hate the most is uncertainty and that's been the double whammy that has added to the fallout from the referendum vote.

May is lots of things, I'm no huge fan, but she's a tough cookie and probably the best placed at this time to get article 50 instigated and the negotiations rolling so things can begin to settle down.

There'll be time for a general election much later but the further chaos and uncertainty that one would bring now would be disasterous. And as has already been mentioned, the opposition need to sort themselves out first.
