The training facilities are a waste of cash. Yeah, tell me something I didn't know - have you heard the Beatles split up?
There are about a million and one pieces of spare grass in Aberdeen where they could have 1: Fenced the place off. 2: Thrown in a few dressing rooms 3: Laid an artificial pitch and a grass pitch. 4: Called it 'ours'.
Instead they want to blow millions on some pseudo Ajax academy for north east talent. Jesus.
IN FACT they tried to get a few places already, and do this already and died on the arse doing it when they failed to piggy back on top of Aberdeen University with that idea in Balgownie. Probably as they wanted the University to pay for it £££.
Then you get players at Aberdeen who are mumping about travelling in mini buses to Counteswells or wherever to train. We are not Man Utd appearing for training at some gated training venue.
Can appreciate the need for some sort of club training space. But by god they have had enough chances. He finds land for houses but he never finds a patch of grass for a training venue.
How about prudently creating something on some patch of grass somewhere? Is there any need for 4 or 5 or 6 training pitches that will cost millions each year to upkeep. It might be warm just now but by Nov it will be f*ckin freezing in Kingswells - they will probably have to invest in 3 snowploughs to clear pitches (unless of course they are investing £mmm another few million in undersoil heating - aye, more money blown on keeping up with the Jones'es.)?
