    OK everybody.....who actually saw the game? I for one plead guilty to having much more than 50 years under the bonnet....and I saw the match and remember it like it was yesterday.

    Unfortunately not, I was four years old in '66
    My first memory was beating West Germany 2-0 then Alf taking off Charlton and Peters and losing 2-3 in '70
    It's been mainly disappointment since then.....

    After following the 'Wall for almost 60 years you get used to being disappointed but that day was probably the worst day I remember as a football fan.

    As a then 8 year old I can admit to crying after we lost this game.
    Never cried at a football match since, but have been extremely angry after a lot of England games
