Have you considered reading the smaller words further down the page?
BoE will probably drop interest rates by 0.25% shortly
It seems BoE not been quite as strong in their monitoring of banks activities as they perhaps should!!
Unusually patronising for you AF...bad morning? I wasn't following an agenda, it was a genuine question, but seeing as you ask...which part of 'the smaller words'? Mark Carney's denial, the 'BoE asleep at the wheel' part or the bit about the UK now having only a '50/50 chance of avoiding recession following the Brexit vote'?
Good morning actually, its my birthday, and cheap shot aside, is any of the copy they've used actually new? I can't find Markyboy being quoted anywhere else, the BBC are usually all over him like a rash.
It is the Metro - it has to sell advertising space to survive so it has to be sensationalist. Its a **** paper but that doesnt make the prospect of short term recession any more distant....
Cheap shot? I don't know...never read the 'Metro' before. Quite enjoyed the Cerys Matthews bit but not much more. It might have all the credibility of the 'Express' or the 'Sun' for all I know. It was an alarming headline - which I recognise is written to attract attention - and an equally alarming article. Just wondered what those who are more 'economically literate' thought of it, that's all.
Happy Birthday anyway...may all your wishes - about Derby and promotion - come true.
Closing in on 600 at least, which I doubt the England cricket team will be managing this time around.
