    Cloughie's Comments

Interesting article about Nigel's thoughts on Sam Rush. He said 'In Rush you had somebody coming in who had never worked at a football club before and after six months he wanted to do things his way. I had a couple of calls from people once he'd been appointed'. 'We didn't know him but they said, 'be very careful'. One even said the ego had landed'. Sounds like there's no love lost there then.

Wait what? A successful business man with a big ego. I'm amazed.

You can tell just by looking at rushs stupid goatee that he's a bellend, but as far as I'm concerned 99% of suits are, you have to have a certain level of sociopathic and psychopathic tendencies to be a success more often than not. Think of the most famous successful businessmen in the country and they are dickwads aren't they. So if we're to have a half decent ceo chances are they'll be a ****.

Clough is just having a dig as we haven't gone up and he clashed with rush, can't say id do too much different.

I think there is a lot of truth in what Triz says.

But also like I said at the time Clough was an easy way to deflect pressure. Unfortunately tonight is the final nail in the was it the wrong decision to get rid and only the most blinkered would still say yes.

We've blown millions, destabilised the club on and off the field and started a decline again......

If Clough had remained and had half the investment that's been made we would have been in the pl now. However ..... I'm not sure he would have been a success there tbh but wouldnhabenloved to have found out!

'Wouldnhabenloved'? Tonight was dreadful, can't argue with that. We'll never know what Clough may or may not have achieved. It's true he didn't have a fraction of the subsequent investment but it's debatable how much he's achieved since he left. As for your 'final nail' comment...disappointing yes...'final nail'...in August? Hardly.

I don't know what the word is but it's far far worse than disappointing. I don't know how much they pay that lot but they should all give their totally unearned wages to charity. They are an absolute disgrace!!

Nigels tv interviews before and after showed maturity and honesty.
I thought he came across very well.
