I suppose it plays right into Sevco's greetin winging agenda. But on this one they may well have a point. I'm sure there must be loads of Selleck fans who are ashamed today and rightly so. Any Bhoys on here want to condemn this stupidity ?
I would rather they hadn't done it. It isn't representative of the majority of Celtic supporters and has been met with a large amount of disapproval. Still, given that they nicked the idea from the huns in the first place, who have previous for hanging/burning effigies of anyone they dislike (see ZS's pics in other thread) their outrage over this isn't fooling anyone.
Hardly a major loss. The doll thing was in poor taste but it has found the dead centre of its intended target. Since the idea was to wind up the hun fuds and they are absolutely apoplectic over it, I'd say it was mission accomplished. It was a bit outrageous but achieved its objective of whipping the monkeys up into a frenzy
Elvis, banners and all sorts of slogans have been going on for years, Parkhead, Ibrox and every ground in Scotland.
A line was crossed on Saturday and you know it, maybe you don't. You're in England now correct?
I've seen us on a hiding from Sellick in the past and vice versa but that so called display is beyond the pale.
I don't think there are many tims who find it acceptable and many many more who were at the game knew nothing about it till the next day, but it's the hypocrisy that gets to me, what is the difference between us doing it and the Huns doing it? Both are not good and shouldn't have happened, but now comes I never heard any of them decrying the fact that they did the same thing that they are now trying to crucify us for now, we've been accused of doing it because of an ex Rangers players brother but they say nothing of their singing about Tommy burns and Scott Browns sister, and now I'm being told that the " doing the huddle" I took part in in the game was orchestrated to be done in the 66th minute of the game to mock the 66 who died in the Ibrox disaster , if it was, no one told me or any of the guys I was with, feckin ridiculous and personally I think it's being dreamed up to cover up their defeat and their destruction of the toilets at CP, as for the sectarian banner, they are the only ones who think the word hun is sectarian and that's only a recent thing.
