The weather up ere in Yorkshire for the last week has been beautiful (like the area)......can't believe how hot it has been! Visited Castle Howard today and it was 27 degrees! Heading home tomorrow after a lovely week. Hope you enjoy your visit to Stanley LDB......bring home another three points for us!

We had a spur-of-the-moment mini-break on the IOW on Monday/Tuesday to enjoy the great weather. Walked Shanklin to the Spyglass at Ventnor one day and Freshwater Bay to the Needles the other. Saw the Waverley passing Hurst Castle. While waiting for the return ferry, enjoyed a stroll along the prom at Seaview.

Thundery storms late last night into this morning has changed the air down here. I will do my best Phil to make some noise and bring back 3 points. Never been to Accy before, just Hartlepool to go now for the full house of Northern teams in our Div. Yes the Waverly is down here for her late summer season Lassie. Back to the Island (Bembridge) before Xmas moi, lovely part of the world as is where Phil has been. Whitby is a particular favourite of mine and not because it is full of Witches.

Had a great visit to Whitby earlier in the week. Visited the abbey and had haddock and chips in a lovely restaurant overlooking the small beach/harbour! Also popped into Robin Hood bay.....the climb down and back up wasn't easy! As for the Isle of Wight....the Spyglass does a lovely pint of prawns! Ah well nearly home....must have known the holiday was finished as it poured down as we left Pickering this morning!

Sadly it wasn't to be Lee and tbh we never looked like winning. Not long back, supping a cheer me up Ski we were that bad. When we start with the likes of Bennett and Smith did we ever have a hope of winning ? We were second best as Cook said, we didn't have the desire that Accy had nor could we even muster a shot on target. The fans were so quiet in the Accy sun but they never had much to get behind. A mature home fan said to us after he couldn't believe how bad we were, unrecognisable from the team who won there so well last season. We have gone backwards away from home, Just a Gary Roberts pen to show from 4 league trips. Cook won't pick CC for whatever reason he gives. He prefers to pick his mates and won't drop them where necessary. The Man is a clown but the board isn't going to sack him so the Cook out brigade can forget that. Corky is back for Barnet so we'll be fine meanwhile I am not going to blame Daz for this debacle. He has been at both Morecambe and Accy I must point out, just saying it as it is. Now where is that Ski bottle ?

Was amazed when Smith was named in the starting lineup. Am not blaming one player but when Cook makes selections like that it must drain enthusiasm from other players who know there are better ones on the bench. They clearly enjoyed the higher tempo of the previous games so keep playing like that! Tinker with the squad when/if it starts to go wrong.

Well said Scarf. Whenever CC had the ball in the Wycombe game a goal looked likely. Not from us yesterday sadly. I've had my whiskies early hours. bit of a lie in and then pottered in the garden. Barnet here next Saturday that is the way it is.
