I'm intrigued as to what the blue print from fans to change matters would now be.. except maybe give the guy time to shape the team and play consistently??
You're absolutely right Swale...wouldn't argue with that...and hang on...I've only just awoken and it seems we've only gone and doubled our goal tally for the season.

For me there is no choice but to stick with and back pearson, if at the end of the season he hasn't delivered a top 6 finish with this squad then maybe we can say he has failed.

But we had boring steady Clough Jnr, crazy attack minded McClaren, tedious Clement and and alternatively good then piss poor with wassall - Pearsons been consistent, nobody has blown us away yet!

When you score a goal every 360 minutes you don't have to be blown away

If Villa had had the luck in the first half they would have blown us away.

I was at the game and disagree, as Villa's subsequent results have shown.

If it wasn't for our inability to score from great chances we'd be above Villa right now.

Villa strike me as a team that wont be putting any run together and will like us be steady mid table, they were ok against Forest but Forest turned up for a point and sat back.

    Villa 13th
    Us about 12th imo

We'll in the long run will be better off because Pearson knows this league inside out and knows how to build a team, we already have a net profit under him

You could say the same about Clough.

It strikes me that Pearson has a certain way to play, and rather than use what we have, he's going to keep putting out the same set up, until it clicks. I don't think we have the personnel to play the way he likes, which is why it hasn't worked so far.

But, everyone deserves time, and I don't see why he shouldn't be afforded the same.

Well you watched a different game to me. They dominated the first half because we sat back. They hit the woodwork twice and if both had gone in they would have won at a canter.

I think we've played well the past 2 games but we look like Villa, a team in transition, and both clubs will take time before hitting any kind of consistency.

Which is why he's bringing in new players for the way he wants to play, I'm liking Anya, Vydra needs to do a bit more but he's getting in the right positions at least, Wilson will come good in time imo.

Fine margins, Blackman scores that sitter on Tuesday night, and we take the chances we had on Saturday, we'd be sitting here talking about turning a corner and moving up the league. 3 one on one's V Bristol City... all fired at the goal keeper. Pearson has sorted out the creating chances side of it and in time will sort out our strikers shooting.

I get why people are concerned though, 1 point above the drop zone and powder puff strikers.. but its only a matter of time before we move up the league a little, we're too good not to even at this early stage of the transition.

Sorry to sound like Senna The Soothsayer but have you got any friends who are Luton Town fans? There's no such thing as being 'too good not to move up' (or go down)
