Dobmeister, in the past ten years or so we've had (in alphabetic order): Kenny Brannigan - sacked; Gordon Chisholm - moved to Dundee United and sacked; James Fowler - sacked; Allan Johnston - moved to Kilmarnock and sacked; Ian McCall - moved to Dundee United and sacked; Gus McPherson - sacked; Gavin Skelton - left. Need I say more?

Yep i get that. I`d be interested in how you would see a way out of that cycle to take us forward. It`s very easy to be negative, much harder to be constructive. I`m genuinely interested or do you think we`d be as well giving up on our place in Scottish football. For all it`s faults our club still brings a lot of pleasure (and heartache/frustration) to a lot of people.

From that Bet Victor list Stephen Aitken looks not a bad bet at 12/1.
Both he and Gary Naysmith quoted as being in the running by todays Daily Record.

Aitken refuses to go full time as a manager due to him having a full time career with Rolls Royce. Can't see him changing his mind to come to queens.

I look at the list of managers in a completely different way to everyone else. If you have a number of managers who are desperate for a job and are out of work, then they are not in a position to dictate the level of pay.

Queens should offer a decent package, - taking into consideration the amount of work that is involved, and perhaps involve an enhanced offer for a top four position and a good Scottish Cup run. In other words, the higher position pays for the package and it is up to the manager to then deliver the goods.

Steven Pressley would be an interesting prospect......but only if he's desperate for work. If the managers on the list all have other incomes then they are unlikely to come to Palmerston, unless they have a love for the club, - or see the managerial post as a potential stepping stone to perceived greater things. Either way, Queens should be pulling the strings, not the other way round.

I can see it being Barry Smith. My personal choice would be John McGlynn. He knows the division well and would get us sorted out at the back; where most of our problems lie. We've had 9 managers in 10 years so now is the time for stability.
