I don't think it's an exaggeration to say the result of their tie against Maribor could be more important for us than any of our own games this season. If they get through to the group stages that could easily be the tipping point that makes it financially viable for them to spend at the current rate (£8M I was reading they've spent in this window). Completely agree. They would get about £3M for qualifying plus £500K for each win or £150K for each draw plus give or take £1M per home game so another £3M plus £1M if they win their group (stop sniggering) or £500K if they were runners up.
