Regardless of the result it was a fantastic game. Motherwell produced some great football including three fine goals but a last minute strike left us without even a point for our efforts. It was an excellent advert for Scottish football. - External Link

"What might have been"...that should be our club motto, it wouldn't look out of place under the club badge on the Main Stand.

I'm afraid I couldn't give two ****s about great adverts for Scottish football. That sort of talk is okay when you win such a game, I'd even accept it had we drawn yesterday but as it was we lost so there was nothing to take from that.

I'm not overly concerned about the attendance. Games against Celtic (and Rangers as was) always saw our home attendance drop by 500 - 1,000 from a normal game. Add to that the game was televised and kick off at 1215 and you have your answer.

I know it annoys many but that kind of talk is exactly why Scottish Football domestically and internationally is utter ****e... we pat ourselves on the back for being losers. Scottish Fans , Media and players have a losers mentality and are always happy consoling ourselves with what might have been. It runs through the Scottish footballing mentality like the lettering through Blackpool rock.

Show me a good loser and I will show you a LOSER and as has already been posted here and elsewhere on this site our players just accepted it when the fourth goal went in! I would have been sent off if I had been playing for Motherwell yesterday.Probably before the 4th goal but if not certainly for punching the living daylights out of Ainsworth for his none existent challenge prior to the fourth if he had committed himself to a tackle we would have been attacking them and not as it turned out the other way round.!��

We did play well for 48 mins granted - as soon as they scored in the 49th I knew our tea was oot ! As for Ainsworth ... he was bleating during the week about winning a new contract and how he'd show everyone he was worth one. Punt the wee lazy, workshy 5hitebag !!
