Nimbys have absolutely no argument now regarding aesthetics; with the Kingshill Business Park sheds now going up across the street.

My understanding is that it will be June, to allow the May council elections to complete and use the second meeting of the new council to make the decision. The first will be used to induct the new grey-suited iPad-toting careerists on the gravy train platform to allow them to find out where the lavvies are, which trouser leg to roll up, find out how to text their puppeteers in Edinburgh before making any decision, and to learn the words of the mantras:

Aye great location if your day will consist of jumping in your car ( or getting the wife to drop you off) arriving 30 minutes before k.o and jumping in the car after the game to head home....but myself and many other city based fans tend to have a couple of beers in town before the game....same after the game ....last home game my mate and I headed in to town to meet the wives after the game ....along the way we had a couple of pints then had a meal with the wives....all part of watching the Dons .....that will disappear for good......the heart will go out of the club....I am sure when the original Aberdeen fc were looking for a place to move to from the chanory they would never had considered moving the club outside the city....only a cheuchter like Milne would consider that

Where exactly do you think the stadium is planned to be built?

Outwith rush hour times it would take about 15 minutes to get to the site from Holburn Junction - if you double that for a post-game glut of cars on the road it's still only about 30 minutes into town. Pretty much the same as walking from Pittodrie to Ma Camerons.

It's also a great location for people from, say, Mastrick

OK , I`ve had another genius thought on how to redevelop Pittodrie !!


I know it`s not going to happen , but wtf !! I was looking at the corners between the South \ Merkland\Mainer at weekend. ( During halftime ) There`s a bit of space there to develop two muckle big towers that could house hospitality, toilets, food stalls.
If you built them , and hung a higher roof between them over the Merkie. Then stick in a second tier/balcony for seats in there. Have it ALL standing on ground floor behind the goals. There`s your kids section in upper and singing section below.

You could even do something similar to Mainer. Stick another tower at Beach End for revised offices, changing rooms etc , and then gut the old mainer , install a Paddock standing area the length of stand. Lift the roof up a bit and put another Balcony second tier for the seats. Hospitality boxes tucked under it.

Ach , I know I`m wasted on here !! ( No, I`m nae wasted . Jist this kind of genius disnae often come for free Milney !! )
