Prediction League - Aston Villa

Villa are not where most expected them to be at the beginning of the season. But they have performed more consistently since Roberto Di Matteo was removed in favor of Steve Bruce. They had a little Glenn Hoddle syndrom under RDM, going 1-7-3. Under Bruce, they're 7-4-3. They have also jumped from 19th to 12th. I imagine Villa will be looking to put Bruce's stamp on the team this January window and they need to start winning more in order to challenge for those playoff spots. They're currently 7 points away from the 6th spot in the table. TOur first match wagainst Villa this season was Bruce's first in charge. It ended in a 1-1 draw, thanks to penalties from Jonathan Kodija and Helder Costa. They have some dangerous players in Kodija, Jordan Ayew, Rudy Gestede, and Ross McCormack. The latter two, after being prolific scorers in this division in the past, have not quite found their footing this season. Kodija is their leading scorer with 7 and Gestede has 4. Nobody else on the squad has more than 2. They have had a stingy defense, tying for 4th in least goals conceded this season.

Our home form has not been good. However, I think with it being a derby, the squad will be up for the match and we'll perform well.
