I've watched the game twice now. The live game was understandably tense and I posted that we defended well.
We did, but initially it seemed like a "backs to the wall" situation.
Watching it again, it wasn't like that at all really. We played well. Really well. I've never seen Paul Lambert so animated until yesterday. In fact I've never seen him smile until yesterday. He deserves some credit for the victory, the starting selection raised a few thousand eyebrows but when you hear his post match interview it was clear he had a strict plan and it bloody worked.

At this moment in time I don't care if JD Bodvarrson never scores for the remainder of the season, you will do well to find a player with the same effort, commitment and energy he has. Him coming on yesterday was perfectly timed and it would have been a contender for goal of the season had Lucas not luckily got in the way. It's a breath of fresh air to see a player who will run and run till he is ready to drop.

We deserved every single bit of praise from every one of the big boys pundits.

Agree with you about JDB Newcy. Dicko also deserves praise for working his socks off. The way he drew the defender away from the action during the build-up to our second goal was just class.
