    After deadline day

All the waiting and talk of being better after the transfer window.does anyone actually think that we are a better team after it closed?

Without doubt on paper we're a stronger squad. Though someone once said about football not being played on paper...
3 loans went back of which only izzy brown was a regular. And 2 permanent signings and 3 additional loans. 2 of those loans are out of contract in the summer so good way to have a look.
There was no point in the club signing big stars or expensive league one players whilst we're in the championship simply because we won't be in it next season. And the incoming players would expect higher wages
The club did ok imo. TS PW etc are building a young decent squad for next season and I'm glad they didn't blow a big chunk of cash trying to keep us up (as plenty of other clubs have done in the past)

I tend to agree with Cayton here but why then was Warney on about bringing in 3 permanents and some loanees? What was the point of that unless he disagreed with Cayton's theory

Is there an Out of contract soon defender on his way ?

Have the club shut up for week?, I was expecting at least a 1 minute interview on transfers
What the hell is wrong with them

All the board have laryngitis except Warney who is happy with the lads.

I spoke to Warns yesterday and he said " I told the lads not to worry about mistakes, misplaced passes, miss hit shots and they didn't worry so I am pleased with that"

Deafening MT isn't it. Can only believe they don't feel the need to.

I know i don't have any knowledge about football, because SE said so,but with the squad needing a complete overall next season, how can you all have the confidence, that everything is going to be alright,i just don't get it.

I don't know whether the squad is stronger or not because I haven't seen Purrington, Semi or the lad from Norwich play yet.
From what I've seen so far the new goalkeeper doesn't look any better than Price but I'll reserve judgement until he's had a few more games.
Of course, we had the usual bullshine about big money targets (by our standards) and a minimum of 3 permanent signings coming in and surprise, surprise, nothing happened.
I still don't understand what is happening at the club and can only assume that Paul Warne will be in charge at the start of next season as he seems to be having such a big say on recruitment.
I really hope this isn't the case because, although he's a club legend, he's clearly out of his depth as a manager.

Presumably we can still go for the old chesnut of out of contract players eg Ryan Taylor ex Ncastle
His silence on the contract offer suggests he'd rather play golf.
