Having a mare this season..One season wonder..His CV backs this up....FF up front AGAIN..Far more effective in the pocket, or left wing....Winnall going to wonder why he ever left Barnsley.....Fox dropped, despite being the best player at Ashton Gate....No Abdi..The best player at Watford, but inevitably drained of confidence....Winnall will go the same way...Always getting dragged off through no fault of his own.....The best (most expensive) players to grace Hillsborough in years did us proud last season.......This season, we need a leader ( ala Hughton, Rowett, Monk) Ohhh' and by the way....Rhodes is going to be a Wednesday legend.......No excuses now CC.

Got to agree with your comments, we will not gain promotion with carlos at the helm, shame he's a great bloke.

Would give anything for it not to be the case Dmb...I just can't get my head around his line ups, tactics, substitutions, and constant 'cop out' gripes about fixture congestion. ...Like its not the same for everyone else. Zzzz.....On paper we have a frightening attacking side capable of beating anyone in this division...And I cling to the hope that its going to click..And we're going to go on a devastating run.....Lots of games left....I don't believe that Fox had a knock...Its this constant obsession with depleted energy, rotation boll0cks...Reach HAS to be dropped....FF on the left...Abdi number 10... Winnall and Rhodes up front......He has no excuses now...If Rhodes doesn't score, then the tactics are all wrong......Width, Width, Width is what we're crying out for.....We miss a marauding midfield beast, big time.

I get what you're saying Mick I really do & who knows you might be 100% correct but as with all of us fans opinion, it's just that opinion, CC has the real job of picking the team, tactics, subs etc, whatever he does it'll never suit everyone, even more so now that we have genuine quality in depth, we could arguably field two separate elevens & get similar results.

You say he's had a mare this season but points wise we are better off...if Carlos left, the next bloke would no doubt get the same flak albeit from a different set of fans...whatever any of us think of him he's doing a reasonable job results wise, it'll never be good enough for all of us but in my view we're just about where I'd expect us to be after just over a season & a half under the new regime, promotion in two years was always a massive call after what this club has gone through, Chansiri is the man, he'll get us there soon enough either with Carlos or without, in the meantime I look forward to the next game of football as I've done for the last fifty odd years.

I get what you're saying Mick I really do & who knows you might be 100% correct but as with all of us fans opinion, it's just that opinion, CC has the real job of picking the team, tactics, subs etc, whatever he does it'll never suit everyone, even more so now that we have genuine quality in depth, we could arguably field two separate elevens & get similar results.

We are where we are yes..but lets not kid ourselves..its masking an obvious frailty this season..I don't think there can be many fans out there that aren't disgruntled by our performances....but like me, still hopeful that we'll suddenly spring into last season's energetic attacking style. ..A lot of the games we've won, could have been oh' so different....This slow tempo'd keep ball, then back to the keeper stuff is painful to watch at present, and needs to change..maybe it will....He can start by not completely wasting our creative talisman..and putting him back on the role he does best..Attacking with the ball at his feet from left midfield.......Winnall, Hooper or Fletcher with Rhodes up top......We clearly miss Hutch in the middle, and have nothing like him, when he's missing...This wasn't addressed in the summer..It still needs to be......The professor now needs to be given the chance, in his preferred role, to prove why the Watford fans held him in such high regard......As I said before, Rhodes is the most prolific goalscorer in England....He isn't scoring, then the service has to be questioned.....Lee is a big miss, certainly. .But we weren't exactly setting the division alight with him in the team......Lets hope that we're perfectly poised to show what we're about....Starting next friday....WAWAW.

I'm not buying that Carlos says don't play attacking football like last season. I'm not even buying that we played that way last season ( a lot of people have very selective memories. I'm referring to quite a few on owlstalk ).
I remember quite a few games last season (like this) that we were very inconsistent.
2 top 6 finishes in this league is a good job by anyone's standards ( if we do finish top 6).
The last thing our club needs now is a change of manager and the instability that brings. It doesn't work .
As for abdi , it's not for Carlos to play him because he has a good reputation, he has to produce. He may not have been given the chance to play his preferred role in the middle but football is like that and hutch and Lee have been the best players on the park when fit. From what I've seen of abdi so far, he's not earned his place as a regular, yet!
We have spent a bit of money but that doesn't mean we should expect instant success and in this league if you think like that, you come unstuck.
