Warney's hairdryer and 4 other things

Here's some thoughts on yesterday's 1-1 draw. Give them a read!

I imagine Warney's "hairdryer" was a lot like being savaged by a dead sheep because he's too pally with the players.
On another subject, did anyone else think he was going to make a substitution after 20 minutes? Jerry Yates was warming up then he put his shirt on ready to come on but Warne changed his mind for some reason. Not sure why because Forde was absolutely woeful and could have been hooked there and then. At least Yates made a nuisance of himself when he did eventually come on.

I noticed that, he continued his warm up though minus a coat so I thought maybe he just wanted to take the big coat off instead of being on the brink of coming on.

Yeah, I noticed that and thought the same. Forde is so lacking in confidence.

Maybe Warney was going to drag him off but thought that he is lacking in confidence and taking him off after 20 minutes would just make it worse so he gave him until half time.

He went to two up front didn't he about that time ? Saw a smidgen of 4-4-2 - but he shuffled the pack rather than change personnel.

Good old fashioned lower league football but not what that stadium deserves......while ducking Warnsy's hairdryer they must have thought .....

To me - to you .....meant .......

To Rotherham - to Blackburn......Sadly well balaced sides ......within reason they were:

    Equal possession
    Equal shots
    Equal shots on target
    Equal corners

    Equally poor....

Your last two words say it all lbj.
It's obvious why both teams are in the bottom three and are certainties to be relegated but a club of Blackburn's stature really shouldn't be down there with us.

    I nearly wrote.....

"It shows the quality of the league"

But.....remember our disgraceful abuse from the referees:

Freck's clearly got the ball BUT penalty against us.( points lost )

TWO clear penalties against Forest at home ( points lost )

Actually beating the OWLS 0 - 1 and referee have other instructions
    ( points lost )

Definate penalty v Newcastle away not given..0 - 1 ok we were well beaten but they didn't need a 1 Goal start - you never know ( points lost )

Huddersfield - their players playing basketball immediately leading to their winner ( points lost )

Even yesterday - O'Donnell clearly blocked from attacking the ball
    ( points lost )

And if we add all the others that just haven't been mentioned and there are a few then.....

It's the "QUALITY" of the officials rather than the "quality" of the league that we should be screaming about.

    NOT EXCUSES.....FACT !

Forde has been woeful all season, it was just another poor standard performance by him, ill or not, one bad signing by a poor manager in Stubbs. Needs shipping out sharpish.

Forde has been a game changer at times this season.....players play better within certain "systems" - "shape" or whatever you want to call it.

There are a few young footballers needing guidance and a method of playing that's reproduced game after game.

We are rudderless - without a "manager" ......and I mean WITHOUT A MANAGER !

Blaming Stubbs and individual players is disgraceful and - I'm sorry - but nonsense!

The players need to go down now and benefit from a good coach who must be given time to establish their philosophy.

I'd have Stubbs back yesterday - a respected coach who won the Scottish cup in fine fashion - and he had 6 players when he started at that club...

That's what you call "Team building"
